Have a look at the video of Australian hurdler Michelle Jenneke that's gone viral :)

This is the link from my mobile browser:

A LESSON IN FREEDOM

Waves are unrestrained, they pound relentlessly upon the shore.

Multitudes of different rock types are reduced to rubble, ground into gravel, pebbles, stones, shards, fragments, and finally…fine soft sand.
When we are relentless in pursuing our goals, our dreams.

 Equality. Freedom. Respect.

We must be fluid like water, as strong as a wave, we must pound the rocks that stand before us… into gravel, pebbles, stones, shards, fragments, and finally…sand.

Sand that we will walk upon.

They do say that "the enemy is under our feet"…

This is especially for those close to me who are walking a path less travelled. They face judgement and persecution every day for their beliefs and ideals. They are Christian, they are Muslim, they are Atheist. They are Straight and they are not. I love you guys - you know who you are - you WILL persevere and you WILL conquer.

And for those of you out there who are feeling LOW, as if you will never rise up and take hold of what you know you are called to do: http://soundcloud.com/sbigara/tired-fields-irish-lullaby

Take care.

Make Time, Don't Waste a Minute

Carpe Diem. Seize the day.

Don't let a day pass you by.

You know it and I know it, too many days have passed without a truly kind word.

Hold hands today... smile at each other, listen when the other talks, put your cell phone away. Cuddle without watching the clock, whisper something kind or sexy into each other's ear. Remember a good laugh that you shared, and share it again.

Be unexpected. Make the effort to make your significant other feel special. Love, and especially marriage, is a work in progress. Never completed, always 'busy'. Having small children makes it even more difficult, children demand their own slice of your time, making it hard to focus any attention on your partner.

I am very blessed. I have an amazing partner. Someone who supports me 100%, puts up with my drama, my hormones (a biggy) and loves me even when I'm mean and selfish (see: grumpy, irritating, sulky) - he can look at me a second after I think "I'm so useless" and say, "Love you..." and I feel so much better. When I do something nice, kind or unexpected he is always verbally grateful which makes me feel loved and appreciated.

Today I'm making a change. I challenge you to do the same. Life is precious, and fleeting, time can run away from you - grab onto it. Don't waste a minute.

Have a great weekend.
