Shannon Joe Dirt Rice (on facebook) delivered a brilliant set at the Stand Up Guys Open Mic Competition last night, taking the title from the equally funny Venessa Morton, followed closely on points was Jason Govender - a novice - who blew us away with his unique angle and dry humour!
Arno Els and I had a 'Strum off" where we faced off against each other on guitar - Arno had the audience in stitches with 'Bunnies are Arseholes' while I set a world record as the first pink-haired lady to play a guitar with 385 stickers on it, with a mic stand made of 100% indian/coloured man (Rowin Munsamy was an AWESOME mic stand) and a music stand made out of 100% Mark Young. I sang 'O Mio Babbino Caro' and the winner was Arno Els! Next time buddy.............
